  • 100% Private experience
  • Luxury transportation
  • Flexible departure time
Beach ice plant

This experience includes:

  • Pickup from your Bay-Area residence or lodging
  • Gorgeous views of the San Francisco Bay and City skyline
  • Informative Naturalist Presentation about the Bay and its ecology
  • Fun Service Activity, all gear and PPE provided
  • Gourmet Light Outdoor Picnic Lunch
  • Optional Visit to historic military sites
  • Outdoor Beer or Tasting with reserved preferred seating
  • Return Transportation to get you and your family home in comfort

In the morning, we’ll participate in an easy and fun 60-90 minute “service-learning” volunteer activity. The second half of the day enjoy a picnic lunch, followed by a relaxing afternoon break enjoying craft beers or boutique wine at a local family friendly venue.

We’ll pick you up at 9am and drive together in our zero-emission Tesla Model X to a peaceful local community beach. There you’ll learn about the natural environment of the San Francisco Bay shoreline. We’ll introduce you to the Bay ecosystem, the birds and marine mammals we are most likely to see during our time together. Part of the discussion will also focus on the issues of microplastics and other factors impacting our marine environment. You and your kids can ask questions about any wildlife and landmarks you see from our knowledgeable guides. Be able to identify common local seabirds and tell the difference between the Pacific Harbor Seal and California Sea Lion!

We’ll then kick off approximately one-hour volunteer service time. We’ll apply our sun protection, gear-up and have a quick instruction about how we’ll work together as a team to remove litter and clean up our beach before they can cause harm to wild species. All supplies for the activity, including a variety of protective gloves and trash/recycling receptacles will be ready and waiting for you. Fun treats and prizes for participation!

All the while your guide(s) will be on hand to take family pictures of your “team” in action. Images captured on our devices will be provided digitally to you after the experience, as our way of saying thank you.

During the activity, your guide will also be setting up a delicious light and healthy picnic lunch. We’ll bring the beach blankets (chairs for grown-ups, if desired), and picnic basket with all the goodies. Your basket will include your preference of omnivorous or veggie antipasto spread, non-alcoholic chilled beverages, sanitizing hand-wipes and all the necessary service ware.

To conclude our day together, we’ll jet over to one of our wonderful local craft breweries. This family-friendly establishment pride itself on welcoming guests with a warm, relaxed ambiance, AND top-notch artisan brews. The adults in your group can enjoy an included tasting flight worry free, as we’ll be your designated driver! Non-alcoholic refreshments are also provided.

(If you want, we might be persuaded to distract your children for a bit if you’d like to enjoy a few moments of adults-only conversation. Wink, wink.)

If you choose to upgrade to a full-day experience, we can also add these optional visits to nearby-attractions:

Explore a decommissioned aircraft carrier that played a major role in the Allied victory in WWII, and recovered the Apollo-11 astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin returning from their famous moon walk!

For serious history-fans, pop into an eclectic military museum, celebrating the legacy of brave local servicemen and women throughout the 20th Century (this is probably more interesting for adults).

Both sites are staffed by passionate volunteers who are often retired military, and love sharing personal stories of their time in uniform. Admission (valued at up to $120) is included in the enhanced experience).

At the end of your experience, we’ll return you to your home or lodging having enjoyed a fun and fulfilling family-day on the Bay!

Please see included service area information on our Terms page for more details on available pickup and drop off locations.

The Tesla Model X

We are the only San Francisco based tour company with a 6 passenger Tesla Model X. Offering an exotic, high-tech luxury experience that is comfortable and FUN!

Stunning and fully loaded

  • All electric, zero-emission
  • 290 mile battery range
  • Quiet, smooth ride
  • Premium Pearl White interior & exterior
  • Industry-leading safety
  • Falcon wing Doors
  • Panoramic windshield for visibility
  • Easy exit from 3rd row seats
  • Seats 6 (up to 5 guests)*

Not only is our 100% electric vehicle clean and quiet, it features an impressive extra large windshield and interior glass for greater sense of openness and visibility that most 3 row SUVs can’t match.

Designed and manufactured right next door in the Silicon Valley, the Tesla Model X adds a fresh, locally-authentic element to San Francisco Bay Area experiences.

A Healthier, Safer Visit

ALL our experiences are 100% private. You will never share a vehicle with other guests outside your group. Not only does this ensure you have our COMPLETE undivided attention, there’s no sharing sniffles or sticky fingers with strangers.

Cleanliness has ALWAYS been a top priority for us. Now more than ever, we want you to feel comfortable and safe during our time together.

Our Tesla Model X is thoroughly inspected and cleaned before and after your experience. We use nontoxic products and medical-grade UV lamps to disinfect all interior surfaces. UV Light is used in hospitals to sterilize rooms and equipment and has been shown to cut transmission of drug resistant bacteria by 30%, and eliminate viruses such as H1N1, MRSA and Influenza (see American Journal of Infection Control, Dec 2014 Vol 2).

A unique feature of the Tesla is also the Bioweapon Defense Mode. This feature uses a high powered HEPA filtration system to both remove potentially dangerous substances from the air before it enters the cabin and systematically scrubbing the air inside to eliminate any trace of these particles. The result is air that is hundreds of times more clean and sanitary than otherwise possible in an ordinary vehicle.

The Tesla Model X is also among the safest passenger vehicles on the road today and was the first SUV to receive a perfect crash test rating.

Environmentally and Socially Responsible

All electric and green, we are doing our part. Transportation contributes approximately 40% of all greenhouse gas emissions in CA, more than any other source. Driving electric already shrinks the carbon footprint by 50% over a gas powered vehicle, since producing electricity is cleaner than burning fuel in a regular combustion engine. We go even further by purchasing our electricity from our local community owned not-for-profit utility that sells carbon-neutral energy primarily from hydroelectric and wind sources.

Each year, we donate our services to a variety of local nonprofit organizations that benefit our community. If you would like to request a contribution for your school or charity, please contact us.
